i have had greatsouthern insurance for about 8 years. after a recent auto accident in which i was rear-ended & sustained back, neck and nerve damage, they refused to investigate the at fault driver's insurance, accepted the at fault driver's statement & closed my case as driver at fault with bogus reasons. when i called to get an explanation as to why, i was sent from one person to another, put on hold for hours and generally given the run around. this went on for over two months. when i was finally put through to a supervisor, she was rude and yelled at me and refused to answer my questions. i had to file a complaint with the department of insurance, who contacted greatsouthern on my behalf. greatsouthern then decided to investigate the at fault driver's insurance and accept responsibility. however, they offered me the bare minimum and refused to pay my medical bills or compensate me for my significant lost time from work. i was left injured, in pain, and still dealing with these issues 8 months later. their customer service is terrible and i would not recommend this company to anyone.

i have had great southern insurance almost 20 years now, i have had 3 vehicles and several different homeowners policies during that time and have never had any issues. i do have to say that the homeowners insurance seems high, but when you consider today's economy and rising costs of building material i guess it's still in line with the industry average. keep up the good work guys and gals.
