tried to use gale insurance several times and got the run around each time. 1st was looking for homeowners insurance for a house i was purchasing. i was told someone would contact me within 24 hours. after 2 weeks, i had to call back and was told they would get back to me. after another 3 weeks, i gave up. 2nd time was for car insurance. after giving them all my info, i was told they did not handle that type of insurance and would have someone who did call me. after another 2 weeks and no call back, i called again and was told the same thing again and again. i decided to reach out to a private broker instead. 3rd time was to add my new car to my existing policy with gale. i called about 2 weeks after purchasing the car and was told they would send me the paperwork to sign and return. after 3 weeks, i still had not received anything and called back. i was told they were really busy and that they would try to get the paperwork out later that day. another 2 weeks went by and still nothing. i gave up and called a local agent. the agent was able to provide me with a policy right away and at a much cheaper price than gale even quoted me. i had a similar experience with another one of their locations in the area. they just don't seem to care about taking care of their customers.
if i could give a zero star rating i would. this is the worst insurance i have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. i had an accident on 8/9/2018 and after calling 12 times, being hung up on 3 times, and finally getting in contact with someone 4 hours after the accident, i was told they would take care of everything. that was a lie. i have been calling every other day and get hung up on, transferred to the wrong department, lied to about the amount of the deductible i am responsible for, and even told that someone would call me back within 48 hours and never get a call back. i am at my wits end with this company. do not get any kind of insurance from this company. they are horrible and do not care about their customers. the customer service is awful and i have spent hours on the phone just trying to get answers. i am so frustrated with this company. i have been a customer for over 10 years and have never had a problem until now. i will be canceling my policy as soon as i can find another company. i would not recommend this company to anyone.
