i have been a member of yoakum county federal credit union for over 10 years. i have always been happy with their service and the rates on my loans and savings accounts. the staff is always friendly and helpful. i would highly recommend this credit union to anyone looking for a great financial institution.
i signed up for share secured loan with a co-signer that is [name of co-signer]. i have been making my payments on time for 5 months. when i signed up i was told that after 6 months of on time payments i could refinance without a co-signer. when i called to refinance i was told i cannot refinance without having a co-signer for another 6 months because my credit score is low. i feel like i was lied to because i would not have gotten the loan if i knew i had to have a co-signer for a year. my credit may be low but i have not missed a payment and i have the money to pay for the loan. i think they should honor their word and refinance my loan without a co-signer now that i have 6 months of on time payments.
