rock castle insurance group is by far the worst insurance company i have ever had to deal with. they arbitrarily raised my rates over 3 months ago with no advanced notice to me. i called and spoke to the agent who up until then had been very responsive and he claimed there was nothing he could do because it was some kind of underwriting decision that was made by some shadowy figure who he didn't have any contact with. he also claimed that this figure had retroactively applied this rate adjustment over 3 months ago and i was obligated to pay $900 more on my last bill. when i asked why i had not received any notice of this 'underwriting decision' he had no explanation. he also claimed this 'underwriting figure' had put a note in my file that any further payment i made would be applied to my balance due from this 'underwriting decision' that i didn't know existed until i received a bill 3 months later. i subsequently canceled my policy with rock castle and took my business elsewhere. the next month i receive a bill for $384 from rock castle claiming i owe them more money. i called the agent again and he said this was an error and he would correct it. the next month i received another bill for $426. i called the agent a third time and he became verbally abusive on the phone. i told him to never call me again and that i would never be doing business with rock castle again. amazingly, i received another bill the following month for $383. i called rock castle corporate and was told they would investigate and call me back. 6 months later and i have not yet received a call back from them. i will never do business with rock castle insurance again and i would advise everyone else to stay far away from this company. they are dishonest, unresponsive, and unprofessional. unfortunately i cannot give them '0' stars.
