i would like to start of by saying that i have been with matthew rice for 13 years and up until recently i thought matthew rice was a great company. but after my recent claim i will never do business with them ever again. i was in an accident last year in which i was hit by an uninsured driver. i was very detailed with them when i filed the claim and gave them all the information that they requested. they assigned me an adjuster and her name was lisa rice. lisa and i spoke and she took a recorded statement from me and i told her that i had been in pain since the accident and asked for her help in getting me set up with some physical therapy. she said that she would get me set up. well after almost a month of not hearing from her i contacted her and she said that they didn't think physical therapy was needed. i told her that i was still in pain and that i still needed physical therapy. finally after 2 months and them getting my medical records my claim was denied. i was shocked and devastated. i spoke with matthew rice and he basically told me that since i waited to long to file my claim they were denying it. i told him that i was in contact with lisa rice my adjuster the whole time and she never contacted me to say that my claim was going to get denied or that they were going to need anything else from me. he said that he would look into it and get back to me. well 2 months later i still haven't heard from him.
they are very rude and unprofessional. mr. matthew rice hung up on me after i called to get a copy of insurance card. i've been with this company for approximately 3 years and never heard from them unless it's time for renewal and to collect my money. i called a few months ago to get a copy of my insurance card and was told that i had to come into the office. i went into the office to pick up the card, but no one was there. i called again and mr. rice answered the phone, but he was very dismissive and told me again that i had to come into the office. i explained to mr. rice that i already went into the office and there was no one there. he then hung up on me. i called back and mr. rice answered again. i asked to speak to a manager, but he put me on hold for over 10 minutes then he hung up on me again.
