the closing took place in may. the insurance company miscalculated the title premium by almost $3000.00. we had to pay extra out of our pocket to cover the mistake. i contacted the owner about the mistake in june. he pushed me off for weeks, finally saying that he would check into it but would need another month. when i called back in 30 days, he immediately got loud and told me that i didn't have my facts straight and that he wouldn't refund me. he said he would have a title company (his friend) reach out to me. getting tired of being jerked around, i sent a cease and desist letter. the owner responded with a letter from "his" lawyer stating he would sue me for slander. bottom line, crooked insurance company and the owner threatens people to keep them quiet.
