i will start by saying that this was the worst insurance buying experience of my life. i live in florida, where getting insurance is a huge hassle, but this was by far the worst. i talked to the agent 3 or 4 times before i finally got a quote, after hounding him for almost two weeks. i get the quote, pay the premium, and then i get the policy docs 3 days later. what should have been the end of the process wasnt, because the dates of coverage were incorrect. so, i had to wait yet again, for the agent to fix the policy. he did so and sent over the revised policy. this was thursday. today is monday and ive called and emailed the agent and the main office every day since thursday, and no one has responded. because of this, i decided to cancel my policy and go with another company. avoid this company at all costs!

it is hard to speak of positive experiences when there are none to relate. i have been a customer of smyers since 2012. i recently filed my very first claim. my claim is over 30 days old and i still have not had anyone reach out to me with an update. i contacted the agency on 03/08/2023 to file the claim and to request a copy of my policy. on 03/09/2023, i was informed that my request was being escalated to a manager. on 03/13/2023, i was again assured that the request had been escalated and a manager would contact me within 24 hours. it has been over a week since i was assured that a manager would contact me and i still have not received a call.
