this company is very fraudulent and they wrongfully withhold money from their clients in this case myself! i patiently waited for months for a check that i was told i was rightfully owed then when i got the check a year later it was too little and the wrong amount i waited months patiently again and still didn't get the correct amount i was given the run around for months and i just gave up dealing with them. will never recommend them to anyone and will never do business with them again. worst insurance experience of my life.

have used chestnut for auto and home insurance and have been a loyal customer for over 10 years. i have a clean driving record and have only had to file one claim in the 10+ years i've been with them. this past september while driving home from work a deer ran out in front of me and i hit it. i immediately reported the claim and was told it would be taken care of. i was given an estimate and a rental car and waited for the repairs to be completed.

chestnut insurance is the worst insurance company i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. i have been a customer of theirs for over 10 years and have never had a problem until this year. i was involved in a car accident in january and filed a claim. the other driver was clearly at fault and chestnut assigned me a claims adjuster who was rude and unhelpful. he did not return my calls or emails and when i finally did get ahold of him he was dismissive and told me that i was not entitled to a rental car. i was forced to rent a car out of pocket and chestnut has refused to reimburse me.
