very disappointed with mortgage connect of texas. i did a cash out refi and the loan officer mitch told me that i would receive the payoff from my previous mortgage company within 7 to 10 business days. after 10 business days i called and left a message for mitch and didn't receive a call back. i called 2 more times and finally on the third attempt he answered the phone. he said he would look into it and call me back. he did not call me back. i called him again the following day and he said he would call me right back. he did not call me back. i was finally able to reach mitch again and he said that he would personally deliver the payoff check to my previous mortgage company and that i should receive it within 3 to 5 business days. after 5 business my mortgage company had still not received the payoff. i called mitch again and he said that he would overnight the check and i should receive it the following day. that did not happen. i called and left mitch another message and he did not return my call. i finally drove to the address on my closing documents. i walked in and said that i needed to speak to mitch, the loan officer who handled my refi. the receptionist said that there was no mitch that worked there and that she had never heard of him. she could not find anything in their database using my name or the address of my property. i left and called my mortgage company. they were also unable to reach mitch. my mortgage company then contacted the title company and they were told that mitch had left the company and that they had not been able to get in touch with him either. i finally received the payoff check from mitch about 3 weeks after my closing date. i will never do business with mortgage connect of texas again.
